Guest post from Pastor Jeff Bartz
Radiate is a new missions training conference at Baptist Bible College for senior high students that was held April 10-14. The jam-packed schedule included daily training sessions with professors at BBC, and hands-on outreach ministry in a small town (Osterhaut), city (Wilkes Barre), and large city (NYC) to give participants a feel for several different ministry contexts. Participants from Grace included: The Bartz family, Jamie Dawson, Stephen Durham, Brandon Faucett, Caleb and Daniel Kosiorek, Lindsay Ladley, Zack Seeley, Kayla, Leah, and Sue Underwood.
We visited four churches, one of which we support, Restored Church in Wilkes Barre, PA. Dan Nichols and Tim Walker were there to welcome us, show us the ropes, and set us loose paying people’s parking meters up and down the streets of the city square in Wilkes Barre, just a block from Restored Church’s location. This act of kindness solicited a wide variety of responses and led to some neat conversations. As a church plant, Restored Church is gaining a foothold of influence for Christ in the city of Wilkes Barre!
In New York City, under the guidance of Pastor Rob Rodriguez with the City View Church plant in Astoria, Queens; we set up stations on street corners to give away free bottled water and information on the new church. Many of us had the opportunity to share the Gospel with people all over the world, including Moses, a Muslim from Nigeria! God brought us all through a significant journey in just four days. We hope you will join us this Sunday, April 21 to hear more!
