“Halftime” Pictures

The church was growing. The needs of the people were growing. The world needed the gospel. Yet the apostles declared their focus in Acts 6 in no uncertain terms. Their need was to stay focused on “prayer and to the ministry of the word.” What are tools the Lord uses to build a church? He uses prayer and the ministry of the Word.

This past Sunday morning we celebrated the halfway point of our capital campaign. In the midst of a building going up and many exciting ministries taking place we did not want to lose our focus. Having time in the Word we then engaged the entire church body in prayer. The congregation went out to construction site of the new building, sang the doxology in the new auditorium then broke into groups throughout the new facility to pray. What a wonderful way to continue to dedicate this new facility to the Lord and His glory.

Here are some pictures from the early service.
